Apple Blondies with Maple Whiskey Glaze for Autumn
Apple blondies with maple whiskey glaze just for adults? I have a simple formula for desserts. Some sweets are for kids while others are for adults. For instance, brownies are for kids, and blondies are for adults. Especially if that blondie is my absolute favorite apple blondies with whisky glaze, these blondies are sensual.
Blondie Ingredients 2 cups flour 1 tsp baking soda ½ tsp kosher salt 1 cup butter unsalted, sweet cream, softened ¼ cup sugar 1 cup brown sugar light 2 eggs large 1½ tsps pure vanilla extract ½ tsp ground cinnamon 1½ cups pecans chopped Whiskey Maple Glaze 1 cup powdered sugar 1½ tbsp whiskey bourbon ½ tbsp milk any milk will work 1 tbsp ground cinnamon 3 tbsp Maple Syrup 100% (not artificial)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9" x 9" baking pan with parchment paper. Using a medium bowl, toss the apple filling ingredients together until combined. Using a large bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon until combined. Using a large bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined. Gradually beat in the dry ingredients until a batter forms. Fold in the chopped pecans and apples. Spread the batter into the baking dish and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool slightly. In a medium bowl, whisk all the glaze ingredients together until combined and smooth. Spread evenly over the blondies and allow the glaze to harden. Cut and Enjoy.
